Facial blemish removal in Tenerife: show off blemish-free and even-toned skin
Skin spots are alterations in coloration that occur due to a poor distribution of melanin in the skin, a pigment that causes our skin to become darker to protect us from the sun’s rays.
Their accumulation in certain areas causes stains. The causes that originate this anomalous distribution are diverse: the sun is the number one cause and is aggravated by hormonal causes, taking certain medications, wounds or acne marks exposed to the sun.
Peeling
The most effective treatments to combat blemishes are peels. There are several types of peels (chemical peels, medical peels, laser peels, etc.). Depending on each patient, in our Aesthetic Medicine center in Tenerife we will choose the most suitable one. If LED phototherapy is added to this, the results will be faster and more effective.
Peeling is an exfoliation technique that involves applying a chemical substance to the skin to obtain a limited and controlled flaking of the epidermis and/or dermis and induce skin regeneration by stimulating adjacent layers.
Peels are classified according to their depth into: superficial, medium and deep.
